I just purchased this camera for the wide angle effect and have started to use it for my virtual tour shots (still). I have 2 sony cameras I have been using for years because I like the ease and use of memory stick, and have all the adapters for them installed, etc. so hate to start over with a diffrerent camera and expense of adding 'stuff'. It is taking some getting used to, especially having to purchase extra adapters, battery,SD, and it's a bit cumbersome for me to get the pictures from the camera quickly over to the file where I usually download my pics, I figure I spent an extra $40 to get this achieved but I'm thinking the wide angle part will be worth it. I'm just fighting the learning curve.
I read other reader's reviews and realtor blog comments and this convinced me to go ahead and buy. Shopped till I dropped online for the 'best price' - ended up spending $200 w/shipping for a refurbished+ dock.

I have since changed my method of resizing to the 800x600 dimension by creating a Photoshop action that puts a gray strip along the top. I prefer this method primarily because I don't think that enough people discover that you can lift the upper banner by clicking the arrow and so my original method will cut off more of the image than I would prefer. The action is fairly simple to create but if you would like it, please contact me.
